I’d have to say I’m a pretty lucky photographer. I always have the love and support of my gorgeous wife Elizabeth. She’s always there either giving me tips and advice, proof reading my most recent blog post and always supportive and encouraging of this little side career I call OneTwo Photography. This time however, she was in the front of the camera.
I couldn’t have been more excited to finally shoot my beautiful wife. Oops, I mean with a camera of course. That didn’t come out right, see that’s why I need her around to proof read.
As we nervously await the arrival of our first little bundle of joy, we decided to do a maternity session to capture this moment in time. The time where it’s just us in the world, the time where there is a little miracle growing inside of her. That time where the essence and glow of motherhood is beaming out of her. I’ve never done a maternity session and was extremely happy I got to do it with my wife. She has such grace and elegance that she is truly a natural in front of the camera and I think pregnancy has made her that much more beautiful.
I’m really happy with the results of this session. The warm golden sunlight kissing her skin remind me of how beautiful she looked on our wedding day. I hope you all agree.
I am so grateful to have gone through this journey with her. I am also immensely proud and amazed of the strong and resilient woman she has become. From the sleepless nights to the pain and discomfort, I know carrying this little guy around hasn’t been the easiest thing in the world and I am so proud of her for happily enduring through it. I wish I could help her get a few more hours of sleep or take away her headaches and back pain. Unfortuneatly I can’t do any of that. But one thing I can do, is say thank you. Hopefully there will soon be a newborn session to do.
